Recent pictures from a dealer preview in Turkey reveal that the smaller Pulsar, which was speculated to be called Pulsar 160 NS, is going to be called the Pulsar 150 NS. The new bike would be replacing the current Pulsar 150 DTS-i and was recently spotted testing in the wild in India, without camouflage.
The new Pulsar 150 NS embraces the Pulsar 200 NS bodywork and graphics with hints that differentiate it from its 200 cc cousin. The box type swing arm from the 150 DTS-i is retained and it gets drum brakes at the rear instead of the discs found on the 200 NS. Apart from that, everything else resembles the Pulsar 200 NS. Additionally, the 150 NS would also get a kick starter that is not found on the 200 NS. At this moment, the Pulsar 150 NS doesn’t seem to be made available with the rear tyre hugger that is present on the Pulsar 200 NS, but that could be added later to the final launch product.
While the bodywork for the upcoming 150 cc Pulsar gets a drastic upgrade, the engine would be carried over from the 150 DTS-i with slight tweaking for a marginally better power output. In its current form, the Pulsar 150 DTS-i produces 15.06 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM.

The new Pulsar 150 NS would be priced in the range of Rs 71,000 (ex-showroom) and would be competing against motorcycles like the Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 150, the recently launched Honda Unicorn 160 and the Yamaha Fazer 150 V 2.0 FI.
