The ABS-equipped Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon has been launched at an ex-showroom Pune price tag of INR 67,386. The non-ABS version of the Pulsar 150 Neon, for reference, was priced at INR 65,446 (ex-showroom Pune), and so, the ABS version carries a premium of INR 1,940.
The Mumbai outlets are yet to confirm the ex-showroom prices in the city, but a dealership has told IAB that the ABS-equipped model is expected to arrive at INR 83,500 (OTR Mumbai).
The Bajaj Pulsar Neon 150 was first introduced in November 2018. With the new safety norms in effect, Bajaj Auto has added ABS to the bike. All other features and specifications have remained unchanged. Thus, the mechanical specifications are identical to the standard Pulsar 150 Classic, and the ABS-equipped motorcycle is propelled by a 149 cc 2-valve, twin-spark, air-cooled, DTS-i engine that delivers 14 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. A 240 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum unit at the back handle anchoring department.
The Pulsar 150 Neon range is available in three colour options – Neon Red, Neon Yellow and Neon Silver. While the Neon Red and Neon Silver feature a glossy paint, the Neon Yellow is offered in a matte paint. The Pulsar 150 Neon comes with colour coordinated headlamp eyebrows, Pulsar logo, side-panel mesh and alloy grab rail.
Apart from the Pulsar 150 Neon, the Bajaj dealerships in Pune and Mumbai also shared the prices of the Pulsar 180F ABS. The semi-faired motorcycle can be purchased for INR 1.15 lakh in Pune and INR 1.16 lakh in Mumbai (both on-road costs in the respective cities).
The next-generation Pulsar, as confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, will arrive with the BS-VI upgrade in 2020. Meanwhile, the company is preparing a new variant of the current Pulsar that will reach showrooms in June 2019.
