Bajaj Auto will most likely launch the Pulsar 125 in a week. Speaking to analysts in an earnings conference call on 26 July, Rakesh Sharma, Chief Commercial Officer & Executive Director at Bajaj Auto said that the new 125 cc product could arrive in three weeks.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 125 will most likely arrive by 15-18 August. The 125 cc model should receive the CBS safety tech to keep the prices competitive.

While Sharma did not mention the product or the brand name, he confirmed that the new 125 cc vehicle might arrive in three weeks. Answering the query, Sharma said:

I will not be more specific about the product or about the brand, et cetera. You'll probably see it in 3 weeks' time.

It has been nearly two weeks since Sharma made the statement. Thus, the new 125 cc model should arrive in another week’s time, between 15-18 August.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 will reportedly draw styling cues from the Pulsar 150. A report from earlier this month claimed that the standard model will be joined by the Neon Edition. The Pulsar 125 Neon should, like the Pulsar 150 Neon, pack bright colour treatment on various parts such as the Pulsar logo on the tank, grills on the side panel, rim tapes, headlight mask and for the pillion grab rail. The seat stitching will likely match the bright paint.

The mechanical specifications of the Pulsar 125 will reportedly match the figures from the Pulsar 135 (now discontinued). The 125 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine is likely to deliver approximately 13.5 BHP (13.68 PS) of peak power and about 12 Nm of maximum torque. The motor will be linked to a five-speed gearbox. For reference, the 149.5 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled mill on the Pulsar 150 churns out 14 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.

The budget-friendly hardware will comprise conventional front forks, twin-sided rear springs, a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back. The Pulsar 125 qualifies for the pocket-friendly CBS safety tech, which is relatively cheaper than ABS. The CBS tech will help keep the prices low.
