The Kratos is an indirect rival to the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
According to a report on Best Media Info, Bajaj Auto has hired Ogilvy & Mather for creative mandates for the forthcoming Bajaj Kratos VS400. The report states that the estimated media spend and account size is pegged in the range of INR 60-70 crore.
The Bajaj Kratos VS400, as mentioned by Mr. Rajiv Bajaj in a past interview, will have its market launch next month. It will be identical to the Bajaj Puslar CS400 concept from the Auto Expo 2014, save for a different suspension (the Kratos VS400 will sport conventional telescopic forks whereas the concept featured upside-down forks), and a redesigned seat.
The Bajaj Kratos VS400 will be powered by the KTM Duke 390's engine. The 373.27 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, with Bajaj’s DTS-i technology will develop around 34.50 hp and will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

It will be equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear and a dual-channel ABS, not to forget digital instrument clusters (the VS400 gets a tank-mounted cluster aside from the conventional cluster), LED taillights, daytime running light and self-canceling turn indicators. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 is expected to cost in the whereabouts of INR 1.6-1.7 lakhs, ex-Showroom.
