The Bajaj V which went on sale in March this year has sold over 1.6 lakhs units since. The premium commuter motorcycle entered the list of India's top 10 selling motorcycles in April 2016, and reached its first milestone of 1 lakh units in just 120 days from launch.
Mr. Eric Vas, President (Motorcycle Business), Bajaj Auto, said in an earlier interview that the strong market response and positive forecast meant that the company would increase production of the Bajaj V by September. The ongoing festive season is bound to reflect in good numbers for the Bajaj V.
The Bajaj V is now available in a range of four colors - Ebony Black, Pearl White, Heroic Red and the new Ocean Blue. The premium commuter is powered by the 149.5 cc DTS-i single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 12 PS (11.83 hp) and 13 Nm of torque and sends drive to the wheel via a 5-speed transmission.

The motorcycle's tank is built from metal of India's first indigenously-built aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, which was decommissioned in 1997 after 36 years of service.
