Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Pvt. Ltd., the authorised distributor of Bajaj and KTM products in Nepal showcased the Bajaj Dominar 400 at the 2017 NADA Auto Show in the country.
The Dominar 400 was launched in the country in May this year, at a price of NPR 4,69,900. Nepal was the first export market for the motorcycle. The bike employs a 373.3cc single cylinder, 4-valve triple spark engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant gives out 35 PS of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. The internally-tested top speed of the bike stands at 148 kmph.
The motorcycle is built on a perimeter frame with a stamped metal swingarm. Suspension components include a 43 mm telescopic forks at the front and a multi-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The Dominar tips the scale at 182 kg kerb and comes with a 13-litre fuel tank.
Twin-channel ABS is present in the 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres. The bike features digital instrumentation; and LED headlamp, tail light and indicators.
