In Bajaj's speak, the CBS system on the Bajaj Discover 110 is christened as 'Anti-Skid Braking'. We expect the improved Discover to be introduced in March 2019. While the current model is priced at INR 52,326 (ex-showroom Delhi), expect the Discover 110 CBS to cost not more than INR 54,000 (ex-showroom).
As is the case with the Avenger 220 ABS range, company dealerships have started accepting pre-bookings for the Bajaj Discover 110 CBS. According to the Government of India's new safety norms, two-wheelers below 125cc are mandated to come equipped with a CBS unit from 1 April.
The Bajaj Discover 110 is propelled by a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 8.60 PS and a peak torque of 9.81 Nm. A five-speed gearbox transfers drive to the wheel. The Discover 110 is available with two braking options - Disc & Drum. While the premium variant features a 200 mm of front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake, the basic Discover comes with a 130 mm drum unit at the front and a 110 mm rear drum brake.
