The second shade in Cruise 220 after Divine Black.
Bajaj Auto has introduced a new colour for its popular cruiser, the Avenger Cruise 220. The new paint scheme has been labelled as Desert Gold and is the second shade in this model after the Divine Black. The company had launched the Avenger range in October last year with the scheme of one colour per model only. With the new models being introduced, the sales of Avenger have jumped up to around 25,000 units per month.
Bajaj currently offers three models in the Avenger lineup that includes Street 220, Street 150 and Cruise 220. While the Street comes with a darker theme and black alloys, the Cruise gets a raised handlebar, a lot of chrome, and Avenger badge on the fuel tank.
Powering the Cruise 220 is a 220 cc, oil-cooled engine that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The mill churns out a maximum power of 19.03 PS while the peak torque is rated at 17.5 Nm. The bike presently stands as the only cruiser from a mainstream brand in India that falls under the price bracket of Rs. 1 lac.
