After in Bangalore, the Ather 340 and Ather 450 have been launched in Chennai. The flagship scooter, the 450, has been priced at INR 1,31,683* while the relatively lower-spec 340 retails at INR 1,19,091*.

The prices mentioned above include the benefits under the FAME-II scheme. The Ather 450 and 340 get a subsidy of INR 27,000 and INR 24,000 respectively. The 450 and 340 retail at INR 1,22,647** and INR 1,10,647** respectively in Bangalore. The Tamil Nadu government levies a 4% road tax that adds another INR 5,837 to the Ather 450, and INR 5,246 to the 340.
As part of a limited period offer, Ather Energy is offering home charging point, 1st year Ather One subscription free and unlimited public charging until December 19 along with the 450. The buyers of the 340 miss the home charging point and get with a charging cable instead.

To give you a quick recap about the specifications of the two electric scooters, the 450 accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 3.9 seconds, has a maximum speed of 80 km/h and offers a range of 75 km in the Eco mode. Its electric motor produces 5.4 kW of max power and 20.5 Nm of peak torque.
The Ather 340’s electric motor, on the other hand, delivers 4.4 kW of max power and 20 Nm of torque of peak torque. The 0-40 km/h acceleration on the 340 takes a relatively longer 5.1 seconds and its top speed is 70 km/h. The range is 60 km in Eco mode. It is affected by the selected riding mode - Sport, Ride or Eco.
