A report in Autocar India claims that Aprilia will be launching two new motorcycles in India, the Aprilia Shiver 900 and Aprilia Dorsoduro 900, by August 2017. Both the motorcycles were first unveiled at EICMA 2016.
The Dorsoduro brand of dual purpose motorcycle is already present in the form of the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200. The new Shiver 900 is a naked roadster. Both the motorcycles are powered by an 896 cc V-twin mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 95.2 hp of maximum power at 8,750 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.

Both the Aprilia Shiver 900 and Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 get 41 mm upside down front fork by Kayaba and a monoshock in the rear. Introduced as a replacement of the Aprilia Shiver 750 and Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 globally, the new Shiver 900 gets traction control as standard while the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 gets a three-way traction control.

The bikes also gain a Bluetooth controlled infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. Both the Aprilia Shiver 900 and Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 will be imported to India as CBUs.
The Aprilia Shiver 900 and Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 can be expected to cost between INR 12.5 lakhs to INR 14 lakhs.
