Here are five things we know about the Hero Xtreme 200S.
1. Styling
The Hero Xtreme 200S concept unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 is described by Hero MotoCorp as a 'showcase of directional guidance to future products in the premium category,' as it features new styling that the company wishes to implement on future products. It is characterised by a dual-tone body colour, and contrast colouring of the seat, mud guards and alloy wheels.
2. Features
The motorcycle is based on a diamond-frame chassis that is suspended by a conventional fork and a monoshock rear suspension. It has a disc brake at both ends with ABS, and alloy wheels. The other features are mono halogen headlamp with twin LED pilot lamps, bikini fairing, fuel tank shrouds with air intakes, engine cowl, single-seat, split grab handles, stubby silencer, LED tail lamp and an analog-digital meter console.
3. Engine & Gearbox
The Hero Xtreme 200S is powered by a 200 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 18.6 PS at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox.
4. Launch plan
Hero MotoCorp has stated that the Xtreme 200S will not be launched in the market before 2017. When it does come, it will have ABS and non-ABS versions priced at about INR 1 lakh and INR 90,000 (ex-showroom) respectively.

5. Competition
The Xtreme 200S will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
