The lack of camouflage hints that the vehicle is ready for production. The Indian market will get a relatively higher displacement version of the motorcycle. Christened as the 300SR, the India-bound model will share its engine specifications with the recently launched 300NK. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the 292.4 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve motor churns out 33.9 PS of maximum power at 7,200 rpm and 20.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,800 rpm.

The design of the both 250 cc and 300 cc versions will be the same. The quarter-litre motorcycle will feature a pair of sleek LED headlights at the front with DRLS matching the shape of the panel next to the headlamp. Fairing-mounted rearview mirrors and a windscreen completes the fascia of the motorcycle. The cockpit will pack a digital display that the 300SR will share with the 300NK. Similar to the naked roadster, the information display will be available in two modes – Rain and Sport.

The tank recesses should offer plenty of grip while cornering, and space to lock the knees while crouching at high speeds. The split-style saddle adds a sporty look to the package. The rear panel (under the pillion seat) features an air-duct style design that reminds of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0. The underbelly exhaust gives the motorcycle a minimalistic and clean look.

Premium hardware on the motorcycle includes inverted telescopic front forks, monoshock suspension at the rear, disc brake on both wheels and dual-channel ABS. The 17-inch alloy wheels use 110/70R17 front and 140/60R17 rear tyres.

The 250SR made a debut in concept form in May this year. Expect the production-spec model to debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show in November. The Indian launch of the 300SR will happen in mid-2020 (May-August 2020). Once launched, the 300SR will compete with the TVS Apache RR310 and the KTM RC390 in the Indian market. The naked roadster (300NK) arrived at an introductory price tag of INR 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The fully-faired model should come closer to the INR 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
