CFMoto has confirmed that it will commence India operations with two products – the 300NK and the 650NK – in July. However, another report from earlier this month stated that the Chinese two-wheeler brand would introduce four products – the 300NK, 650NK, 650MT and the 650 GT – in the Indian market. We may see more teaser images on the company’s social handles ahead of the launch.
The CFMoto 650MT was previously spotted in India in March this year. The touring-spec motorcycle shares its 649.3 cc inline, twin-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine with the 650NK naked roadster and the 650GT. All three bikes get this engine in different outputs. The 650MT will draw the highest performance numbers of 69.73 hp (52 kW) at 8,750 rpm and 62.0 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The naked roadster, for reference, makes 61.68 hp (46 kW), while the GT churns out 60.34 hp (45 kW) at 9,000 rpm.
The CFMoto 650MT will rival the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Benelli TRK 502 in the Indian market. The premium feature list will match its rivals, and the 650MT will come loaded a monoshock at the back and upside-down forks at the front to perform the shock absorption tasks. The motorcycle will use twin petal-type discs at the front and a single disc at the rear to shed speed while the safety net will include a dual-channel ABS as standard. A comprehensive crash guard design will ensure minimum damage to the body panels in case of a tumble. Projector style, twin-pod headlights and LED DRLs enhance the premium look of the middleweight tourer. The semi-fairing design with a tall-windscreen will ensure better comfort on long rides. Being a road-focused motorcycle, the 650MT uses 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.

The CFMoto 650MT, like the rest of the CFMoto products, will arrive from China via the CBU route, and the assembly will take place at AMW Motorcycles’ facility that is situated in Hyderabad. Local assembly will ensure competitive prices. The company will commence operations in Bangalore and Hyderabad before expanding into Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
