Along with the off-road-biased XPulse 200, Hero MotoCorp has launched a road-focused Xpulse 200T in India, priced at INR 94,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Unlike the adventure model, the touring model is available in a carburettor variant only.

Speaking about the launch of the Hero XPulse 200T, Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Hero MotoCorp, said:
With our customer base spread across three continents - Asia, Africa and South and Central America - we at Hero MotoCorp are now riding into the next phase of our bold "premium" journey with a range of new, technologically advanced and aesthetically appealing motorcycles. These premium motorcycles have been designed and developed by our engineers at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), thereby reiterating the rapid enhancement of our in-house Research and Development capabilities in a short span of time since we commenced our solo journey.
The XPulse 200T is designed for the tarmac, and thus, unlike the XPulse 200, it comes with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The alloy wheels bring the convenience of tubeless tyres that are easier to fix in case of a puncture. The XPulse 200T misses out on select features such as a bash plate and knuckle guards. It is equipped with a fibre engine cowl. That said, LED headlight and tail lamps, Bluetooth enabled digital speedometer and an underseat USB charger are included as standard even this model of the XPulse range. The digital instrument console displays average fuel consumption, distance-to-empty, trip meter and gear position indicator among other information.
The styling, like that of the XPulse 200, is functional and minimalist. The fuel tank has a 14 litres capacity that should offer a commendable driving range. The tank is followed by a single seat setup that gets a ribbed pattern cover. The pillion grab rail doubles up as a luggage rack at the rear.
Mechanical specifications are identical to that of the off-road focussed XPulse 200, and the tourer version is also propelled by the 199.6 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that churns out 18.4 PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Anchoring department includes 276 mm and 220 mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively, while a single-channel ABS handles the safety net. Conventional telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the back perform shock absorption tasks. Unlike the XPulse 200, the XPulse 200T does not feature fork gaiters.

The XPulse 200T can face some competition from the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and the likes.
