Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic and Twin-Disc ABS reach dealerships [Video]

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic and the Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc have received the safety net of ABS with rear lift-off protection. The updated motorcycles have started to reach the dealerships. Bajaj Auto has also updated its website with the prices of the ABS-equipped models, and the Pulsar 150 Classic ABS has been listed at INR 84,461*. The Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc, on the other hand, is available for INR 88,339*.

The walkaround video captures the ABS ring on the front wheel and the rear lift-off protection sensor at the back. Apart from the addition of single-channel ABS, the Pulsar 150 Classic and Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc variants also come with an engine cowl and updated graphics. The exhaust heat shield on the Pulsar 150 Classic features a chrome treatment, while the unit on the Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc dons a matte finish.

Both motorcycles continue to draw power from a 149 cc 2-valve, air-cooled, twin-spark DTS-i engine that churns out max power of 14 PS at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The braking department, apart from the addition of ABS, remains unchanged. The stopping power on the Pulsar 150 Classic comes from a 240 mm disc and a 130 mm drum at the front and back respectively. The Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc benefits from a 260 mm disc brake at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear.

As reported last month, the Neon edition of the Pulsar 150 has also received the safety net of single-channel ABS, and it retails at INR 68,250* now. The on-road Mumbai price of the Pulsar 150 Neon, as told by an authorised Bajaj dealership, is approximately INR 83,500.

Bajaj Auto plans to give the Pulsar and Avenger range a complete makeover in 2020. The all-new Pulsar range may include a quarter-litre variant. The 250 cc engine of the Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle will be based on KTM 250 Duke's motor.

In another development, Bajaj Auto is working on new variants for the CT, Platina and Pulsar range . The new variants, as told by Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, will most likely arrive in June. The details are scarce, but Rajiv Bajaj has said that all three variants will be very, very innovative.
