The 2019 Renault Kadjar, the mid-cycle action for the brand's first-ever C-segment SUV, was displayed at the recently held Paris Motor Show 2018.
Speaking on the introduction of the 2019 Renault Kadjar, Olivier Tschanhenz, Deputy Marketing Director, Groupe Renault, said
Launched in 2015, Kadjar is a core vehicle in the Renault range, a global model already chosen by more than 450,000 customers in over fifty countries. New Kadjar will consolidate this position through a more modern, stylish design, improved comfort and better perceived quality. At the same time, it will build on its 4WD offering, since this sets it apart in the market.
The highlight of the refreshed model is the C-Shape light signature from the company's latest design language. The sleek new headlamps carry LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) that have been integrated with traffic indicators. The fog lamps gain LED fixtures with LED Pure Vision technology. The introduction of LED elements has reduced energy consumption by six times in comparison with the halogen bulbs.
The refreshed model is available with two new types of 17- and 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the turn indicators, reversing lights, and fog lamps receive the LED treatment. With the introduction of the facelift, the SUV is now available in three new colours: “Oural Green”, “Iron Blue” and “Highland Grey”.
The interior of the 2019 Renault Kadjar has better fit and finish than the pre-facelift. The dashboard receives a flush-fitting touchscreen display for the infotainment unit along with updated air conditioning controls. Measuring 7 inches diagonally, the touchscreen display offers the R-LINK 2 system. Furthermore, the cabin gains new upholstery options.

The 2019 Renault Kadjar gets its juice from a new 1.3-litre TCe turbocharged petrol engine that has been jointly developed by the Alliance and Daimler. The motor is available in four versions: TCe 140 GPF MT, TCE 140 EDC GPF, TCe 160 GPF MT and TCe 160 GPF EDC. The diesel variant is powered by the Blue dCi 115 oil burner that outputs 5 hp and 10 Nm more than before. The top-end diesel variant is powered by the Blue dCI 150 oil burner, which is now more potent by 20 hp.
