The current-gen Hyundai Grand i10 has been doing duties since 2013 and is due for a replacement. An all-new Hyundai Grand i10 is in the works and it has been spied on test in India yet again, courtesy IndianAuto. Like the outgoing model, the all-new model will be launched in India first.
The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will have extensive exterior and interior changes in terms of design. Its shape will be quite similar to that of the outgoing model, though. As revealed from the earlier spy shots, the upcoming Grand i10 will comprise a more expressive cascading grille, a more stylish bumper and new sweptback headlamps. Also, the design will be further improved with the new upswept beltline and a more curvaceous greenhouse.
Expect the all-new Hyundai Grand i10 to be larger in terms of its wheelbase and roof height, but the overall dimensions will remain more or less the same. Furthermore, it allegedly shares the same platform as the recently launched Hyundai Venue which will also be shared with the next-gen Kia Picanto and the Kia sub-4 metre SUV codenamed 'Kia QYI'. Interestingly, Hyundai has said in Europe that it "aims to go big" with the all-new model, which could mean that Europe will get the same long-wheelbase Grand i10 as India this time. For the uninitiated, the Euro-spec i10 is 100 mm smaller in length and also has a 40 mm smaller wheelbase compared to Indian-spec Grand i10.
In terms of interiors, the next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will feature a newly designed dashboard, steering wheel and centre console. Expect it to also come with an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and Blue Link connected car connectivity features borrowed from the Hyundai Venue.

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be sold with two engine options - 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and the 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel. Both the engines will be BS-VI complaint and be available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmissions. Apart from that, it is also said that there will be a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine and 7-speed DCT combo on offer.
