The 2019 Maruti Wagon R measures 3,655 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width and 1,675 mm in height. In comparison, the outgoing model is 3,599 mm long (VXi+/VXi+ AGS: 3,636 mm), 1,495 mm wide (VXi/VXi+ AGS: 1,475 mm) and 1,700 mm tall (VXi/VXi+ AGS: 1,670 mm). The wheelbase has increased from 2,400 mm to 2,435 mm.
Maruti Suzuki will manufacture the 2019 Wagon R with two engines: K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol and K12M 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol. The 1.0-litre unit produces 50 kW (67.98 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The only visible improvement in this engine is that the maximum power is delivered from a lower engine speed (as opposed to 6,200 rpm before). The 1.2-litre engine produces 61 kW (82.94 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.
Both the petrol engines are BSIV compliant and couple to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AGS automated manual transmission. The page heading “Petrol” indicates that there are at least two fuel options. Reports say that Maruti Suzuki will offer two bi-fuel options as well: petrol-CNG and petrol-LPG.
