Bajaj Auto has published its sales report for November 2018. The company registered a growth of 31 per cent at 3,46,544 unit sales in the two-wheeler business in November as against 2,63,970 units in the corresponding month last year. Sales in the domestic market saw a growth of 45 per cent, clocking 2,05,259 units in November 2018 as against 1,41,948 November 2017. Exports stood at 1,41,285 units last month versus 1,22,022 in the same month the previous year.

The commercial vehicles business, on the other hand, witnessed a marginal decline, registering year-on-year sales of 60,386 in November 2018 as against 62,488 units in the same month last year. Overall year-on-year sales stood at 4,06,930 units against 3,26,458 in November 2018 and 2017 respectively, a growth of 25 per cent. The Year-To-Date sales for motorcycles stood at 29,36,035 units as against 22,84,183 units in November 2017.
Bajaj Auto had announced its highest monthly sales in October 2018 when the cumulative sales from two-wheeler and commercial vehicles business crossed the half million mark. Total sales for October 2018 stood at 5,06,699, against 3,82,464 units in the corresponding month last year.
In an attempt to keep momentum on its side, Bajaj Auto extended its 5-5-5 offer in the Indian market until November 20. The offer is valid until December 31, although with revised benefits. The company has also started to roll out its updated Pulsar range. Last month saw the launch of the Pulsar 150 Neon collection and then the arrival of the updated Pulsar 150 Twin Disc and 220F in showrooms.
Changes to the models mentioned are limited to visuals while mechanical specifications continue to feature a 149.5cc, single cylinder, twin spark engine on the Pulsar 150 range that delivers 14 PS of maximum power and 13.4 Nm of peak torque. The Pulsar 220F continues to use 220cc, single cylinder, twin spark motor that churns out 21 PS of power and 19 Nm of peak torque. The new variants of the Pulsar range are final updates before all new models arrive in 2020.

Bajaj Auto aims to push the total Pulsar volumes to 90,000 units a month in Q4 of FY2018-19. The company already met its monthly sales target in October 2018. Cumulative sales for the Pulsar brand stood at 90,363 units in October 2018 against 60,679 units in the corresponding month last year. We are yet to receive the brand-wise breakup of the sales numbers for November.
