Maruti Suzuki has ramped up production of the Maruti Vitara Brezza by 10 per cent to 94,000 units during the April-October period of the ongoing fiscal as compared with the same period last year. The company is confident that the increase in production will bring down the waiting time for the buyers.

2018 Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT action shot
MSIL's initial projection was 80,000 cars per annum for the Vitara Brezza. The response has been such that it now manufactures twice as many units.

With an average monthly dealer dispatch of 14,009 units (between May - October 2018), the Maruti Vitara Brezza has been the most popular sub-4-metre SUV on sale in the country. The company sold over 1.48 lakh units of its compact SUV last fiscal. In the April-October period of 2018, over 95,00 units have been sold. The high demand for the Ford EcoSport- and Tata Nexon-rival has often led to huge waiting periods, thereby causing inconvenience to the buyers.

Speaking on the increase in production, which is courtesy of the Suzuki's Gujarat-based facility going full steam ahead, R.S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki said -

With the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant operating at its full capacity of 2.5 lakh units annually in Gujarat, we are able to increase the output. We are confident that with the reduced waiting period, we will be able to enhance the car buying and ownership experience of our customers.
