Last week, Maruti Suzuki introduced a limited-edition model of the Ignis but didn’t reveal the pricing. Today we have an update from the dealership.
The Maruti Ignis Limited Edition is just the regular car specified with an accessory package that contains faux skid plates, rocker panel garnish, door cladding with Ignis branding and sporty roof spoiler for enhanced styling as well as premium seat covers and floor mats for a more appealing interior.
The total cost of the accessory package is INR 42,875. However, a dealer source tells us an introductory discount of 30% or INR 12,885 by the company brings the price down to INR 29,990. This doesn’t include the rear spoiler paint charges, though.
The Maruti Ignis Limited Edition has no mechanical changes. It employs the familiar K12M 1.2L four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 61 kW (82.94 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. The D13A 1.3-litre diesel engine is no longer an option, as poor demand led to its discontinuation early this year. A 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission sends power to the front wheels. 20.89 km/l is the fuel economy rating from ARAI.

The Maruti Ignis Limited Edition features wheel covers, which indicates that it’s based on the Delta grade. ORVMs with integrated turn signals, tachometer and the multi-information display are more proofs of the same. Just for reference, the Delta grade costs INR 5,27,781 (ex-showroom Delhi). So, the Limited Edition model should cost INR 5,57,771 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Maruti Suzuki hasn't revealed the quantity or duration of production of the Ignis Limited Edition.
