The previous report, filed in September 2018, suggests that Hero MotoCorp is planning four motorcycles in the 200-300cc segment. The Xtreme 200R has already launched in India at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 89,900. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp is working towards the launch of the new Xpulse 200, its second bike for the segment, by April 2019.
The filed motorcycle features parts from the Xtreme 200R and the Xpulse 200. The round headlight, instrument console and the fuel tank design are quite similar to the Xpulse 200. The exhaust design, too, is identical to the unit found on the Xpulse 200 although it has been placed lower than the one that is seen on the dual-purpose motorcycle.
The report also hints that the upcoming 200cc motorcycle could be either a performance-oriented streetfighter or a Scrambler.
The current 200cc air-cooled, BS-IV compliant engine, developed at Hero's CIT in Jaipur that propels the Xtreme 200R is tuned to produce 18.4 PS of maximum power @ 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque @ 6,500 rpm. The same engine will arrive on the Xpulse 200. If the new model is a Scrambler, the engine specifications are likely to remain identical while a performance spec model may see healthier outputs.

The hardware list is standard as the motorcycle in the patent image features conventional telescopic front suspension and a monoshock unit at the rear. Disc brakes on both ends provide stopping power. The motorcycle is seen with alloy wheels and thus it will come equipped with tubeless tyres. Mono channel ABS will come standard.
