While the next generation Pulsar range will arrive sometime in 2020, the ABS-equipped Pulsar 220F was recently spotted testing alongside the new Dominar 400. The Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS also features subtle updates to the styling with refreshed graphics and a new underbelly cowl that adds a pinch of a sportiness to what already is an exciting visual package.

As seen in the spy image, the ABS ring on the front disc is visible. As there is only one image available, we aren’t sure if the motorcycle will receive a dual channel ABS. Do remember that Bajaj’s RS200, which retails at a premium price tag than the Pulsar 220F, comes with a single channel ABS.
Apart from the aforementioned changes, the Pulsar 220F continues to feature the same styling and hardware as non-ABS model. Thus, you’d spot an identical semi-fairing design, fairing mounted rear-view mirrors, clip-on style handlebars, 15-litre fuel tank, split seats, and dual tone exhaust muffler.
Will we see BS-VI compliant motor on the new Pulsar 220F? Previously, Bajaj had been at the forefront while upgrading its product portfolio with BS-IV compliance, but with all-new Pulsars planned for 2020, Bajaj may only upgrade select motorcycles. As seen in the images, the motorcycle continues to use 220cc 4-stroke, 2-Valve, oil-cooled engine. The motor currently delivers 20.93 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 18.55 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
Twin-disc brakes provide stopping power and the setup, apart from the addition of ABS, is not likely to be different from the current 260 mm single disc at the front and 230 mm single disc at the rear. Suspension duties would be provided by telescopic front forks with anti-friction bush at the front while at the rear will be a 5 way adjustable, Nitrox shock absorber.

The addition of ABS will push the prices up by about 15 percent. The standard model retails at INR 96,448 (ex-showroom Delhi).
