The Ducati Scrambler 1100 has been priced at INR 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom India) for the base variant, according to a report from Autocar India. The report states that the on-road price goes up to INR 13.50 lakh, while the booking amount is around INR 1 lakh or INR 2 lakh, depending on the dealership.
Autocar India states that Ducati India will introduce both the variants - Standard and Sport - in India, while it is likely to also offer the ‘Special’ version once it makes its official debut next month. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is expected to launch in the first half of August. Once introduced, the Scrambler 1100 will become the flagship model in the Ducati Scrambler series in the country. The motorcycle was spied for the first time in India earlier this week.
With the Scrambler 1100, Ducati India eyes more experienced riders to come into the fold of the Ducati Experience. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 features the same design language as that of the entry-level Scrambler; however, it receives a few cosmetic updates. The bike features under-seat mounted twin exhaust canisters, while the engine cover, alternator cover, and clutch receive an ample amount of aluminium finish. The Scrambler gets aggressive riding ergonomics with slightly rear-set footpegs and a farther-pushed handlebar.
The all-new digital LCD instrument cluster on the Ducati Scrambler 1100 incorporates riding modes and traction control settings, which can be changed on the fly. The Scrambler 1100 comes with an exhaustive suite of electronics like five-level traction control system, three riding modes, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire throttle system and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) with lean angle sensitivity.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 uses a 1,079 cc, air-cooled, Desmodromic L-twin motor tuned to develop 85 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm along with 88 Nm of peak torque at 4,750 rpm, while working with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features a slipper clutch as standard, which helps during aggressive downshifts. Anchorage comes from twin 330 mm disc brakes at the front with 4-piston radial Brembo M4.32B Monobloc callipers, while a 245 mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper is mounted at the back.
Suspension components include 45 mm upside-down Kayaba front fork with preload and rebound damping adjustability, while the rear mono-shock is adjustable for rebound damping and spring preload on the Standard and Special variants. The Scrambler 1100 Sport features fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension setup at the front, while the rear mono-shock is carried over from the other two versions.

The three riding modes on the Ducati Scrambler 1100 are Active, Touring and City. The Active riding-mode provides maximum power and quicker throttle response, while the Touring-mode offers relaxed throttle response with max control. That said, the City riding-mode limits the output to 75 bhp along with gentle throttle response. The Scrambler 1100 will rival the Triumph Thruxton R, Kawasaki Z900 RS, and the BMW R nineT Scrambler.
