The 2018 Audi Q3 is not a major design departure from its predecessor. The second generation model looks more athletic, mainly because of the Audi Q8-influenced details. The SUV’s front-end comprises an Octagon Singleframe flanked by wedge-shaped narrow Matrix LED headlights at the top and large air inlets at the bottom. The profile has remained almost identical, although the more powerful shoulders do enhance the stance. At the rear, there are snazzy new rear lights with lighting graphics similar to that of the headlights.

The all-new Audi Q3 has a more luxurious and sportier interior with many new comfort and convenience technologies and edgier elements going perfectly with the sharper exterior bits. 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, 10.1-inch MMI navigation plus touchscreen infotainment system with new natural-language voice control, wireless smartphone charging and 680-watt, 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System are among the equipment highlights. Most of these features are options.

The new generation Audi Q3 is underpinned by the MQB platform. It measures 4,485 mm in length, 1,856 mm in width and 1,585 mm in height. It is 97 mm longer and 25 mm wider than its predecessor, but 5 mm lower. Audi has stretched the wheelbase by 77 mm to 2,680 mm. The redesigned model is more spacious with improvements to the knee room, headroom and elbow room.

Audi will offer the all-new Q3 with four engines: three petrol and one diesel in combination with front-wheel or quattro drive. Their power outputs range from 110 kW (150 PS) to 169 kW (230 PS). Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic automatic.
