The 2019 Hyundai Elantra will likely feature full-LED headlights and the signature Cascading grille.

The 2019 Hyundai Elantra will come with a considerable amount of changes at the front and rear. The spy shots suggest that changes at the front will include four-projector LED headlamps with an LED accent strip at the top, Cascading grille, revised fog lamp and reconfigured bumper.

On the sides, new alloy wheels are expected. At the rear, the license plate recess will be relocated from the boot lid to the bumper. The spy shots confirm tweaked LED tail lamps as well, along with changes to the boot lid and bumper’s design. Hyundai has moved the reverse parking camera a little higher.

No major interior revisions are expected with its mid-cycle refresh. Sure, Hyundai could introduce new trim and upholstery, some additional convenience features like a Qi wireless charging pad and updates to the infotainment system and the MID.

Mechanical changes planned for the Hyundai Elantra are unknown, but there are speculations suggesting updates. One of them is the introduction of the SmartStream G1.6-litre petrol engine with the SmartStream IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), which is basically a CVT. The newly developed petrol engine produces 123 PS and 15.7 kg.m (154 Nm) of torque in the 2018 Kia K3 (2019 Kia Forte). Hyundai has started rolling out mild-hybrid technology beginning with the Tucson, but we are yet to know if the Elantra will benefit from it anytime soon.
