The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 has started reaching dealerships ahead of its launch that is expected to take place later this month. The Mahindra XUV500 facelift gets cosmetic updates along with minor changes to the interior.
The updated XUV500 comes with a new chrome finish grille flanked by revised headlamp clusters. They get horizontal LED strips in place of S-shaped ones. At the back, the most prominent change is the new wedge shape tail lamp design. The SUV gets new 18-inch alloy wheels. Interior changes include silver trim on more elements and new tan leather/leatherette upholstery. The dashboard features leather trim.
Power and torque outputs will go up with the introduction of the facelift. According to a report, the 2.2 L mHawk diesel engine will produce 155 hp and 360 Nm of torque, 15 hp and 30 Nm respectively more than the outgoing model. The 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options are likely to be carried forward without any changes.

Another recent report adds that the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will be offered in at least four main grades - W5, W7, W9 and W11. The unit pictured here is the top-of-the-line Mahindra XUV500 W11 automatic. Expect prices of the XUV500 facelift to start at around INR 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
