After introducing the 2018 Toyota Yaris hatchback in September last year, Toyota has readied its TRD Sportivo variant now. The 2018 Toyota Yaris TRD Sportivo was recently spied completely undisguised in Indonesia.
The 2018 Toyota Yaris TRD Sportivo looks much sportier than the old model, mainly because of the updated design brought in by the recent facelift. The new Yaris TRD Sportivo features an aero kit consisting of underbody spoilers with red highlight and a unique roof spoiler. It gets aggressive bumpers, black ORVMs with red highlights and TRD Sportivo branding on the rear doors and tailgate as well. The 16-inch four-double-spoke alloy wheels are from the South African-spec Toyota Yaris.
Inside, the 2018 Toyota Yaris TRD Sportivo is likely to have a two-tone colour scheme, leather upholstery and TRD Sportivo branding on various elements. Under the hood, one can expect the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 107 PS and 140 Nm of torque, coupled to a continuously variable transmission. Specifications may vary in other markets. In Thailand, Toyota could offer the 3NR-FE 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that develops 86 PS and 108 Nm of torque.
