KTM has launched the 2018 KTM 390 Duke in white colour variant. Apart from the new colour, the bike gets subtle changes to improve its usability.
The 2018 KTM 390 Duke now features a small heat shield on the left side, in the trellis frame. This protects the rider’s leg from the exhaust heat. KTM has also updated the bike’s software to ensure glitch-free headlight function and mobile phone pairing. The Austrian bikemaker has improved the radiator fan for better cooling as well. Apart from these changes, there are no updates on the powertrain.

The 2018 KTM 390 Duke gets the same 373.3 cc engine that’s good for 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9000 rpm; and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. The engine pairs with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. The 390 Duke also comes with ride-by-wire, and adjustable brake and clutch levers.
KTM has equipped the bike with 43 mm upside down front forks and a monoshock in the rear with adjustable preload. The bike gets a large 320 mm disc up front with a four-piston radially fixed calliper and a 230 mm disc in the rear with a single piston floating calliper. Dual channel ABS is standard, with on/off/Supermoto modes. The 2018 KTM 390 Duke is approximately INR 2,000 more expensive than the 2017 model, at INR 2,38,748, ex-showroom Mumbai.
