The 2017 KTM Duke 390 was first unveiled at EICMA 2016.
The KTM Duke 390 in India is one of the most value for money motorcycles in the segment. The 2017 edition of the motorcycle was launched in India in February with just the orange paint scheme. The bike is now available in the country with optional white colour trim.
The white option though is retailed as a limited edition and is not available on a pan-India basis.
The KTM Duke 390 is powered 373.2 liquid-cooled, single cylinder, fuel injected mill. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of producing 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm.
The bike also gets premium features like a slipper clutch and ride by wire. The clutch lever and front brake lever are adjustable. The KTM Duke 390 is shod with 43 mm upside down front forks and a monoshock in the rear with adjustable preload. The bike gets a large 320 mm disc up front with a four-piston radially fixed calliper and a 230 mm disc in the rear with a single piston floating calliper.

The KTM Duke 390 also gets a fancy new TFT instrumentation console with optional smartphone connectivity. ABS is standard and the bike tips the scales at 149 kg (dry). The fuel tank is bigger than the previous generation model and can store 13.4-litre of petrol.
The Duke 390 in orange, as well as the limited edition white, is priced at INR 2.25 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).
