Porsche has displayed the 2018 Porsche Cayenne and the 2018 Porsche Cayenne S at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The 2018 Porsche Cayenne is designed to look more athletic. The SUV gets enlarged front air intakes with new LED main head-lights with matrix beam including PDLS Plus (Porsche Dynamic Light System). The rear gets new LED tail light that runs along the width of the SUV. The length of the SUV is increased by 63 mm to 4,918 mm. The width stands at 1983 mm and the height is 1,696 mm (9 mm less than its predecessor). However, at 2,895 mm, the wheelbase is same as the previous generation model. The boot space is 770 litres, an increase of 100 litres over the older model.

Coming to the interior, the Cayenne gets a 12.3-inch full HD touch screen with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and voice control. For internet access, Porsche Connect Plus is standard. In addition, there is a standard Offroad Precision App, which allows the driver to document rough-terrain drives in detail, helping the driver to improve their own skills using video recordings.

The 2018 Porsche Cayenne employs a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 340 PS of power and a torque of 450 Nm. Its sportier sibling, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne S (featured) comes with a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine with twin turbocharging. This newly developed engine punches out 440 PS (20 PS more than its predecessor) of power and 550 Nm of torque. The engines pair with an eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox with a standard active all-wheel drive.
For enhanced handling, the SUV comes with rear axle steering for the first time. Other off-road friendly features include Porsche 4D Chassis Control; three-chamber air suspension and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) electronic roll stabilisation system. The Sport Chrono Package is optional, which includes a separate PSM Sport mode for better acceleration and optimum driving dynamics. The world premiere of the 2018 Cayenne took place in August this year and it will be launched in the first markets by next year.
