The 2018 Maruti Ertiga (2018 Suzuki Ertiga) is an important product not only for India but also for Indonesia, where MPVs dominate the PV market. According to a report from Autonetmagz, it will have its world debut at IIMS 2018 this month.
Spy shots suggest that the next-gen Maruti Ertiga will have a bigger body than the current Maruti Ertiga. It will measure longer than the original model and have a more rakish back glass. It will likely ride on a stretched version of the all-new Maruti Swift’s Heartect platform and have a wheelbase longer than 2,450 mm.
The current Maruti Ertiga is available with the K14B 1.4-litre VVT petrol engine and the D13A 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. Maruti Suzuki is expected to replace the Fiat-sourced diesel engine with a new 1.5-litre diesel engine developed by Suzuki. However, it’s unknown whether the company will offer the new engine in the redesigned model right from the beginning or introduce it at a later stage. As for the 1.4-litre petrol engine, it could get replaced by the 1.5-litre petrol engine that reports say is planned for the facelifted Maruti Ciaz.

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga could go on sale in India in the second half of 2018, after the 2018 Maruti Ciaz.
