As Maruti Suzuki continues testing the 2018 Maruti Ertiga, another set of spy shots has surfaced online, courtesy Thrust Zone. The 2018 Maruti Ertiga’s market launch is said to take place in August. Its prices could start at around INR 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
The current Maruti Ertiga is based on the last generation Maruti Swift’s platform. The next-gen Maruti Ertiga will ride on the new Heartect platform that also underpins the all-new Maruti Swift, which went on sale last month. Along with a completely new design, the new generation model, as evident from the soy shots, will be dimensionally bigger, which should translate to more space on offer when compared with the current generation Ertiga. Spy shots suggest that redesigned model will have a longer rear overhang and a bigger quarter glass, which would mean more comfort for the third-row passengers.
On the outside, the 2018 Maruti Ertiga is likely to feature LED projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors and LED rear combination lamps. Inside, Maruti Suzuki is expected to equip the MPV with a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, roof-mounted air vents, rear power outlets, rear armrest and more. The company is likely to offer ABS with EBD and BA and dual-front airbags as standard in the redesigned model.

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga could arrive with the same set of 1.5-litre engines as the 2018 Maruti Ciaz - one petrol, and one diesel. Maruti Suzuki may introduce a 6-speed manual transmission as well along with the new engines.
