The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will have two engine options at launch: 3.6L Pentastar V6 and 2.0L DOHC Turbo. The 3.6-litre V6 gasoline engine is an upgraded version of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler's naturally aspirated engine. 2018 Wrangler buyers will get manual and automatic transmission choices with this engine. The V6 engine model will have an engine start-stop system as standard.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine is likely the rumoured "Hurricane" unit. Jeep will offer this engine only with an automatic transmission. A diesel engine option will follow in the MY2019 model.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will not sell in the 2-door Sahara configuration. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will have a longer wheelbase compared to the current model (2,947 mm). Colour choices will include shades of white, black, blue, orange and red, as well as Granite Crystal, Billet Silver and Baja Yellow. Jeep will offer a power sliding hard top in the 2018 Wrangler in late MY2018. The company has told dealers that most aftermarket parts of the current Wrangler will fit the all-new Wrangler.

Previously known features of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler include LED headlamps, keyless entry, push-button start, LED turn signals, LED tail lamps, LED mood lighting, 7-inch customisable colour MID, new 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, illuminated cupholders, reverse camera and parking sensors.
