The Hyundai Veloster is still a low-slung 3-door hatchback with a coupe-like roofline but has a lot more aggressiveness and sharpness in its design. At the front, the all-new Veloster features sharper headlamps with daytime running lights, Cascading grille, a subtle lip spoiler and air curtains on the sides. Hyundai has moved back the A-pillar a little to make the nose look longer akin to a sports car.
At the rear, the backed out glass and tailgate are still notably small, while sharp tail lamps with LED graphics replace the curvaceous ones of the old model. Dual centre exhaust tips - a signature feature of the Veloster, and a rear diffuser are still present in the second-gen Veloster.
Hyundai will offer the 2018 Hyundai Veloster with Kappa 1.4-litre and Gamma 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engines. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will send power to the wheels. For enthusiasts, the company will offer the 1.6-litre engine with a 6-speed manual transmission.
