The 2018 Hyundai Accent had its world premiere at the 2017 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto last week. This is the fifth generation of the compact sedan, which will hit the Indian market as the all-new Hyundai Verna by next year.
The fifth-generation Hyundai Accent incorporates the company's latest family design elements, including the cascading grille. The signature radiator grille is flanked by wraparound headlights and LED daytime running lights. Other exterior highlights include 17-inch alloy wheels, new front lip spoiler and door mirror-integrated LED turn signal indicators.
The new generation Hyundai Accent measures 4,385 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. Compared to the previous generation model, it is 15 mm longer, and 29 mm wider, and has a 10 mm longer wheelbase. The 2018 Hyundai Accent is powered by a standard 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 132 hp and 119 lb.-ft. (161.34 Nm) of torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Through a button on the centre console, the driver can select from two drive modes: Normal and Sport.

The 2018 Hyundai Accent's key features include 7-inch colour TFT LCD instrument display, 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, app-based navigation and voice control, six airbags, front seats with a heating function and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
