HCIL is gearing up for the launch of the 2018 Honda Amaze. A spy photo posted by Overdrive reveals that Honda has concluded the TVC filming.
Developed at Honda’s R&D centre in Bangkok, Thailand, the second generation Honda Amaze is based on an all-new platform. The redesigned entry-level sedan features a more mature and upmarket design with cues borrowed from premium sedans like the Honda City and Honda Accord. Honda will offer it with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. For the first time in our market, buyers will have a CVT option in the diesel engine model.
Upright chrome grille, headlamps with LED DRL, 15-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, power folding mirrors with integrated turn signals, C-shaped tail lamps, sporty rear spoiler and a Shark fin antenna are the exterior highlights of the 2018 Honda Amaze.
Inside, the sub-4 metre sedan has a two-tone beige-black colour scheme. Push start/stop, cruise control, Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paddle shifters (CVT model), automatic climate control, dual USB ports and dual 12V power outlets (front and rear) are some of the main interior features.
Getting to the safety aspect, Honda will offer dual airbags, ABS with BED and ISOFIX points as standard. High-end grade(s) will have rear parking camera and rear parking sensors.

The 2018 Honda Amaze is now available to pre-order for an amount of INR 21,000. Its market launch will take place in May.
