The 2018 Bajaj V15 has arrived at a dealership, picture courtesy Gaadiwaadi. The 2018 iteration gets a cushioned backrest for a comfortable ride for the pillion.
The uniqueness of Bajaj V lies in the fact that it uses metal from INS Vikrant, which was independent India’s first aircraft carrier. The design of the motorcycle is also different from the run-of-the-mill commuters. The motorcycle comes with a 55/60 W DC headlamp with AHO feature. The instrument cluster houses an analogue speedometer on the left and tell-tale lights on the right. The pillion back rest bears a ‘V’ logo at the back, and the logo is present on the fuel tank as well. The tail lamp is LED. Bajaj unveiled the 2018 model recently.

Powering the 2018 Bajaj V15 is a 149.5 cc SOHC mill. The powerplant pushes out 12 PS of power at 7,500 rpm, and 12.7 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine pairs with a 5-speed gearbox. Cycle parts include telescopic front fork, and twin rear Nitrox shock absorbers. In the braking department, the bike employs 240 mm front disc, and a 130 mm rear drum.
The fuel tank is a 13-litre unit, and the bike tips the scales at 137 kg, kerb. The 2018 Bajaj V15 costs INR 64,179, ex-showroom, Delhi. Primary competitors include the Honda CB Unicorn, Hero Achiever 150, and Hero Xtreme Sports. The bike is available in three colours- Black, Blue, and Red.
