Nissan has decided to name the latest Nissan Navara-based SUV in China ‘Nissan Terra’, not Nissan Paladin as reported previosuly. The Nissan Terra was recently spied completely undisguised in multiple configurations, courtesy auto.163.com.
The Nissan Terra has traditional tough SUV-like proportions, which is typical of ladder frame-based SUVs. Its range-topping configuration will feature LED headlamps with daytime running lights, front fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome side mirror housing, rear spoiler, parking sensor and rear-view camera. Interior features of the three-row SUV are currently unknown.
The Nissan Terra is 4,882 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,835 mm tall. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase. It is powered by the QR25 135 kW (184 PS) 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The maximum torque output of this engine is unknown, but in the Navara, the engine churns out 236 Nm (2WD)/251 Nm (4WD). Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic. Nissan will offer a four-wheel drive system, but not as standard.
