A Bajaj Dominar finished in matte black with gold finish wheels has been spotted at a dealership. Thrustzone reports that the new colour is now on sale.
In this paint scheme, the bodywork is all matte black, like the standard matte Black variant that was launched in July. But instead of the black alloy wheels, this particular variant features alloys finished in Gold. The Black with gold wheels version will reportedly carry a premium of INR 500-1,000 over the standard bike. The normal variant costs INR 1,42,108 for the non-ABS version, and 1,56,270 for the ABS version, both ex-showroom, New Delhi. A red colour variant was also spotted at a dealership recently. Also, part of the colour option rejig will be the removal of the White colour, as per the website’s sources.

The official website lists Matte Black, Moon White, Midnight Blue, and Twilight Plum as the Bajaj Dominar 400's colour options. The new colour variant could help give sales a push in the domestic market. In October, it was reported that over half of the Dominar’s volumes go to the export market.
Apart from the colour changes, mechanical underpinning of the motorcycle remain the same. The 373.3 single cylinder engine with a 6-speed gearbox produces 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque. Key features include full-LED lighting system, reverse back-lit LCD instrumentation, slipper clutch and stamped metal swingarm. The motorcycle comes with telescopic front fork and a rear Nitrox monoshock. Brakes include 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc with dual channel ABS as an option.
