Honda has started testing the facelifted Honda HR-V for debut next year as evident from the spy shots that surfaced earlier this month. IAB’s digital artist Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering of the 2018 Honda HR-V to preview its expected design.
The 2018 Honda HR-V is expected to feature minor styling changes on the outside. The facelift should see the HR-V getting a more upright front grille, a sportier front bumper, revised front fog lamp housing and tweaked headlamps with full-LED lighting. At the rear, while tweaks to the tail lamp graphics, bumper, and tailgate applique typical of mid-cycle refreshes could be on the cards.
Inside, the 2018 Honda HR-V could feature new trim and upholstery, an upgraded infotainment system and a revised instrument cluster. Honda will level up the HR-V’s safety by equipping it with the advanced technologies available as part of Honda Sensing suite. In Japan, the HR-V is likely to be equipped with Honda Sensing as standard.
Honda currently offers the HR-V with 1.5L i-VTEC petrol, 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol, 1.6L i-DTEC diesel and 1.5L i-DTEC+i-DCD hybrid (petrol-electric) engines. Whether it plans to make changes to these powertrains, introduce a new one or replace an existing one remains to be seen.

The facelifted Honda HR-V will go on sale internationally next year. Honda hasn't confirmed the HR-V for India yet, but if it does, the Hyundai Creta rival should arrive in its facelifted avatar.
