A rendering of the upcoming Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 rival Tata X451 has been shared by CarToq. The hatchback is expected to arrive in 2019 and will be the first Tata product based on their AMP (Advanced Modular Platform).
The digital illustration blends design elements from current Tata products to create a rather stylish looking hatchback. At the front, the nose section features a Hexa-like grille with the chrome 'Humanity Line' outlining the lower edge. The fog lamp enclosures and waistline get Nexon like Ivory white highlights. Finishing off the render is a Moroccan Blue and Sonic Silver dual tone exterior paint finish.
Spy pictures of the Tata X451 have surfaced in the past, but heavy camouflage has ensured much of it remains under wraps. There is a possibility of the Maruti Baleno/Hyundai i20 rival making its debut at the Auto Expo in February 2018 in concept or pre-production form. Tata's IMPACT design philosophy will dictate the exterior design of the hatchback.

A market launch of the Tata X451 is not expected until 2019. It is a major part of Tata's plan to reduce the number of platforms to just two. A sedan derivative of the X451 is also reportedly under development. It will be a direct rival to the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the likes.
