Cartoq reports that the production of Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS has commenced in India. However, it would be for the European market first (other than UK), and later the domestic market.
In September, it was reported that the Euro 4 Royal Enfield Himalayan would be launched in France in January 2018. Tendance Roadster, a Royal Enfield dealer from France has confirmed to Cartoq that the Himalayan for Europe will have ABS, and that the bikes are already en route to the continent.

Royal Enfield reportedly launched the BS4 Himalayan in the country in September. It is likely that the Indian market will receive the Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS next year, once the rule comes into play. Expect Royal Enfield to showcase the ABS version at the 2018 Auto Expo in India. The ABS version of the Himalayan is likely to command a premium of INR 10-15,000 over the non-ABS variant.

41 mm long travel front fork and a rear monoshock with linkage hold the half duplex split cradle frame. The front suspension offers 200 mm of travel, while the rear has 180 mm of travel. Brakes include 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc. Royal Enfield is also reportedly getting the Himalayan certified to meet US regulations.
