Nissan will introduce the 2018 Nissan Paladin (Nissan Navara-based SUV) next year. Months ahead of the global reveal, IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania is previewing the future SUV’s design in a precise rendering based on leaks.
The next-gen Nissan Paladin’s front-end in the rendering is a little different from the Nissan Navara. It features the latest iteration of Nissan’s V-motion front grille, more stylish, LED headlamps with LED DRLs and unique bumper with more muscular outer ends. On the sides, the rising beltline aims to give a contemporary look to the tough SUV with prominent fenders and large wheels.
The next-gen Nissan Paladin measures 4,885 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase. The Nissan Navara-based SUV will have the QR25 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine under the hood. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic. The mid-size SUV will have a 4WD system in top-tier configurations.

The 2018 Nissan Paladin’s production will take place at the Zhengzhou Nissan JV plant in China. The Sino-Japanese JV will release the Nissan Navara-based SUV at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show in April 2018. The all-new Nissan Paladin will rival with the likes of Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the country.
