The replacement for the Honda CBR 250R or Honda CBR 150R will be launched by this financial year (by April 1, 2018), according to a report on Autocar India.
It was earlier reported that the replacement models would come with new features in the future. Minoru Kato, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said in March that the company would be launching two new scooters and two motorcycles this year. Among them, the Honda Africa Twin DCT and the Honda Cliq have been launched. While one scooter and motorcycle remain, Autocar reports that the upcoming motorcycle will be either be the 2017 Honda CBR250R or the Honda CBR300R. If it is a replacement for the Honda CBR 150R, the bike would be the 2017 Honda CBR 150R, as per the site.

The design of the 2017 Honda CBR300R and Honda CBR250R are identical to each other. Honda sells the former in the US and UK markets. The company launched the latter in Japan in February. Its 249 cc mill is capable of producing 29 PS of power and 23 Nm of torque.
If Honda launches the CBR 300R, it will rival the KTM RC 390 in the segment. It will also compete with the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310S. The 2017 Honda CBR 150R, if launched, will rival with the Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 in the current market.
