MotorBeam has published spy of what they believe is the 2018 TVS Apache RTR 160. A reader spotted the bike in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Although the motorcycle pictured here seems identical to the Apache RTR 200 4V, there are telltale differences.

Unlike the Apache 200 4V, the motorcycle in the pictures gets a flat handlebar, skinnier rear tyre and a single piece seat. Also, it's missing a rear disc brake and features the current Apache 160's red stripe alloy wheels. The engine is finished in in a shade of brown, unlike the 200cc Apache, which gets n all-black treatment. There is a rear mudguard as well, something missing on the RTR 200. However, the bike, in terms of design, is nearly identical to the 160's bigger sibling, the RTR 200. It even bears 'RTR 200 4V' badges.
Based on the launch timeline and lifecycle of their current products, the RTR 160 is the first in line to get a replacement. From what we can gather from the report, the 2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 will be nearly identical to the Apache RTR 200. The 159.7 cc engine, in its current state, produces 15.2 bhp and 13.1 Nm and is already BS4 compliant. TVS might make changes to the mapping, however.
The bike is priced at INR 76,575 (ex-showroom Delhi). Its rivals include the Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS and Honda CB Hornet 160R.
