The upcoming twin-cylinder Royal Enfield motorcycle will carry a twin pod instrumentation layout.

Royal Enfield’s next major launch, with a brand new twin-cylinder powerplant, has been spied by Rushlane. The bike expected to be called the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750, is in its final stages of testing and is expected to be unveiled later in the year.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 gets a new parallel twin mill which is reported to have a 270-degree firing order.

The test unit bears the familiar Royal Enfield badging on the crankcase cover. The exhaust gets a twin canister layout, each bringing out the burnt fumes from the respective cylinder. The café racer is reported to get a 270-degree firing order which will help the bike have a ‘throaty’ exhaust note.

The new Royal Enfield Continental GT 750’s engine is essentially an air-cooled mill, assisted by an oil-cooler which is clearly visible in the spy images. This will help keep prices in check. The motorcycle has been called ‘highway worthy’, by CEO Mr Siddharth Lal, even for western nations where average speeds are more than in India.

Tyres are expected to be of premium build, possibly sourced from Pirelli just like the smaller displacement Royal Enfield Continental GT 535. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will get a disc brake at both ends, and an ABS ring is clearly visible.

The upcoming twin cylinder Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will compete with the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and will take the company a step closer to becoming the global middle-weight market leader.
