The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is the smallest displacement series production Bajaj product to get an oil-cooled engine.

Update: An article in Autocar India claims that the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 carries an ex-showroom, Pune price tag of INR 82,400. The price though will increase post-GST which is applicable from July 2017.

Original Article: A report in Thurstzone claims that the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has been priced at INR 99,000 (on-road Mumbai) and that the ex-showroom price is set at INR 85,000. If right, it will make the bike more expensive than the Bajaj Pulsar 180 which carries a price tag of INR 77,789 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is claimed by Thurstzone to be priced at a premium over the Bajaj Pulsar 180.

The 160.3 cc oil-cooled mill of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 produces 15.5 PS of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 180 produces 17.02 PS of power and 14.22 Nm of torque while the smaller Pulsar 150 produces 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 gets a perimeter frame as seen in the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS which will help the bike handle better than the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Bajaj Pulsar 180. However, the tyre choice of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, with an 80/100-17 spec unit in the front and 110/80-17 unit in the rear, might leave many folks wanting more.

The underbelly exhaust makes the bike look neat, and brakes include a front disc (240 mm) and rear drum setup. There is no confirmation whether it gets (single channel) ABS as seen in the Turkish spec Pulsar 160.
