The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is retailed in Turkey with single-channel ABS.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 after being spotted in the country uncamouflaged has been clicked at a dealership by TwinkleTorque. The motorcycle is also retailed in Nepal but misses out on ABS in that market.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 may be introduced as a premium alternative to segment champion Bajaj Pulsar 150. The larger capacity motorcycle gets a new 160.3 cc single cylinder, oil-cooled mill. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 15.5 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is expected to fight products like the Yamaha FZ v2.0, Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet. The bike has been styled in the lines of the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and bears the same Graphite Black colour. Other paint options may include Mirror White and Wild Red. A blue paint scheme will also be on offer.
The Indian version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 though may give ABS a miss but will retain the front disc and rear drum brake combination. This one too gets an underbelly exhaust. Features include a mix of digital/analogue instrumentation, backlit switchgear, and tubeless tyres. The thin 110 mm rear tyre though may not go down well with enthusiasts.
Back in March 2017 Mr Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto, had confirmed that new variants will soon be added to the Bajaj Pulsar line-up.
