Benelli is owned by the Qianjiang Group of China.
The Sino-Italian brand Benelli has introduced the Benelli RFS150i which is a 150 cc step-through in the Malaysian market.
At the heart of the Benelli RFS 150i is a new 149.8 cc single cylinder, triple-spark, liquid-cooled engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel injected mill is capable of producing 15.5 hp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm but the torque figures have not been revealed. The moped is Euro4 compliant.
The aerodynamically sound Benelli RFS150i gets LED daytime running lights on the front apron and a halogen headlamp which resembles the units seen in Benelli’s naked roadsters. The mix of analogue and digital instrumentation console seems inspired from the Bajaj Pulsar. The Benelli RFS150i is suspended over upside down forks up front, and oil damped telescopic coil spring monoshock in the rear.
